Regtheveg on the Pub had a meeting with an Oxford representative and shared some of his insights and pics on the forum.
We had a meeting with "Taff" from Oxford Diecast on Wednesday, he brought some samples, so some pics are attached.
The Anson is in the "Better" range from Oxford, it has removable U/C, so can be displayed in flight or on ground, props that move, though maybe not spin - and a stand.
This guy has 50-100 new releases on the go at any time, Aviation is a small part of the range, but all the better range are produced from original drawings / plans, and not based on kits.
There are two different canopy options for the Anson, we couldn't decide whether this canopy was right or wrong, because we just sell them! - the production model will have the right canopy!
Oxford are aware of the schemes possible, British and Commonwealth (if that's not a dirty word ) though I wasn't given a list, as that is their baby.
I didn't have time to put the U/C on as much other talk was going on, but a few quick snaps while we made Taff a cup of Welsh Tea.
Oxford Diecast have researchers, and trusted folk to check the pre-pro's - I passed on a few notes from any QC problems we have noted and anything seen on here.
I'm really not sure whether the sample I saw was different from the first pre-pro picture - but you guys can make your mind up.
The thick thingy on the tail (Sorry Spey - Rudder Mass Balance ) is an issue that has been noted, and "May" be whittled down a bit on production model if possible.
