The goal of “Red Flag” is to provide pilots with
realistic training scenarios that they could or would face if they went into
actual combat. The Red Team is made up from aircraft and pilots from the 64th AGRS flying
F-16Cs and the 65th AGRS operating F-15Cs.
The 64th is allocated 24 F-16C Fighting Falcons that
are painted in schemes as seen on similar-type Russian aircraft. F-16C 87-0307 was delivered to
the USAF on December 19, 1988 and wears red Bort 07.
