Shuttle's Report - Duxford 2 July 2014

Just a quick visit but some evidence of the next large project, the American Air Museum. It is being 'upgraded' from 2015 with some aircraft movements and new displays. All of the aircraft are coming down for checks (like this Spad) and some new ones going in including the F-15 and P-51 (from Lambeth Road).

In TFC hanger both the Peashooter and P-40 were awaiting construction (they are now built) - ready for 'Legends'.

An interesting Slingsby glider was on the jetpan. The Fokker F.27 was also getting some TLC to prepare it for a repaint.

Finally, the engine demonstrates some of the 'hidden treasures' of the IWM collection - it is from the Red Barons Fokker Dr.1. The most famous ace of WWI.

 Shuttle.
