MiG 21 overshoots runway in Minnesota.

A 1975 vintage MiG-21 overshot the runway as it attempted to land in Minnesota on Thursday. It was due to participate in the "Wings of the North" AirExpo over the past weekend.

The cause of the overshoot was a failure of the drogue chute.  The aircraft was damaged but there was no fire. The pilot suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

From the photograph the aircraft does not appear extensively damaged.
