IL-2 Sturmovik raised from lake in Russia.

English Russia reports that an Il-2 Sturmovik has been raised from a lake in Russia.

According to the site, the aircraft made a forced landing on the the ice covered lake Krivoye in the northern Murmansk on the 25th November 1943. The pilot and wounded gunner gunner survived but the aircraft slipped below the ice and sank to the bottom.  I may be sent to Novosibirsk for restoration.
