Hobby Master 1/72 Air Power Series HA4405 F-35A Lightning II AF 10-5009 / OT, 422 TES, 53rd WG, Spring 2013.
The 422nd TES (Test and Evaluation Squadron) was
established in 2013 specifically to test and evaluate
the Lockheed F-35 Lightning II. This testing will determine how best to use
this new aircraft in
operational conditions and situations.
Using the finding of these tests the
422nd TES will develop
tactics for air-to-air and air-to-ground combat scenarios. Lockheed F-35A Lightning
II 10-5009 was delivered
to the military on December 21, 2012. On March 19, 2013 10-5009 was assigned to the 422nd TES at
Nellis AFB, Nevada.
