The Kongelige Danske Flyvevaaben (Royal Danish Air
Force) received the first of their F-16’s on January
28, 1980. The first KDF squadrons to replace their F-100’s with the F-16 were Eskadrilles 727 and 730 based
at Skrystrup.
Lockheed F-16A Block 10B 78-0198 was manufactured under license by
SABCA of Belgium and delivered to the KDF Esk 727 on October 21, 1981 as E-198. Sometime
after 1989 the aircraft went through the MLU process (Mid Life Upgrade) and on September 1,
2010 was placed in storage at Aalborg AB.
