Messerschmitt Bf109G-4 "Red 7" restored and flown by EADS / Messerschmitt Foundation performed a wheels up landing after suffering an engine failure during an airshow in Roskilde, Denmark on Sunday 18 August.
The pilot was unhurt and the aircraft did not appear to suffer heavy damage after coming down in an unharvested wheat field. The propellor shaft was shattered so engine damage is probable.
