The world's only remaining air-worthy Sea Vixen crashes at Bounemouth Airport.

A vintage fighter jet sparked an emergency alert when its undercarriage collapsed moments after it landed at an airport.

The Sea Vixen’s nose crashed onto the runway after its front wheel suddenly gave way as it taxied at Bournemouth Airport, Dorset.

Fire crews based at the airport rushed to the former Royal Navy aircraft as a precaution moments after the emergency at 4.10pm yesterday.

The unnamed pilot was unharmed in the incident that left the airport temporarily closed to other planes.
