Canadian Avro Lancaster makes emergency landing.

Wing damage forced Hamilton’s beloved Lancaster to make an emergency landing Tuesday, but don’t worry – the famed Second World War bomber will live to fly another day.
“The Lancaster will fly again,” said Dave Rohrer, CEO of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. “Just don’t ask me when.”
According to Rohrer, the plane was cruising at around 5,000 feet when a bracket failed on the right wing tip. The damage caused the wing tip to partially detach, forcing the plane’s two experienced pilots to declare an emergency and return to the Hamilton Airport.
