Corgi have released their latest catalogue without much fanfair. Given the delays of models from previous catalogues it hasn't attracted the normal amount of attention or excitement.
There is a fair mix from WWI, WWII through to the modern era. The focus is clearly on the Battle of Britain and "Operation Ellamy", Libya 2011 with both RAF and Luftwaffe participants of the BoB and a modern RAF Typhoon and Tornado.
The 2nd Vulcan release is a No.617 Sqn. in anti-flash white armed with the Blue Steel missile and the Lynx AH1GT with the "Haybox" exhaust shrouds of "Operation Granby" should also attract interest.
A four bladed propellor rocket armed Hawker Typhoon Mk.IB of the No.247 (British-China) Squadron should attract a fair amount of attention too.
Why another Herman Goering WWI fighter? Only Corgi can answer that one with so many other pilots and schemes that could be done. Overall there may well be something for everyone, if they can stand the wait...
