Final product photos, HA7906, F4B-4 VF-10M.

Hobby Master 1/48 Air Power Series, HA7906, F4B-4 BuNo. 9016, VF-10M, MCAS Quantico VA, 1933.

On September 1, 1925 VF-3M was commissioned but on July 1, 1927 it was re-designated VF-10M. One year later the unit was re-designated VF-6M only to revert to VF-10M on July 1, 1930 when their Boeing FB-5s were replaced with Curtiss F6C-4s.

In late 1932 VF-10M received the most advanced bi-plane of the time, the Boeing F4B-4. It was determined that Marine Aviation needed 2 light bombing squadrons so on July 1, 1933 VF-10M became one of them when it was re-designated VB-4M and reverted to the F4B-3.
