Hobby Master F/A-18E Super Hornet EARLY PRODUCTION MODEL.

PLEASE REMEMBER THESE ARE VERY EARLY IN THE DESIGN PHASE MODELS TO SEE HOW PARTS FIT AND MAYBE INTERCHANGEABLE SO DON'T CONSIDER SOME THINGS AS BEING THE WRONG SHAPE, STYLE OR INCORRECT.

THESE ARE MEANT TO GIVE YOU SOME IDEA OF THE PROCESS EACH NEW MODEL HAS TO GO THROUGH BEFORE IT BECOMES THE RETAIL MODEL.

P-51 Mustang goes down in Norfolk, UK.

It looks as if this could be P-51D G-MSTG, "Jamie", but have no confirmation as yet.
One person has died and another has been airlifted to hospital after a light aircraft crashed near an airfield in Norfolk, emergency services have said.
The plane came down by the Hardwick airfield, which is about 10 miles south of Norwich, at about 3.30pm on Sunday. It burst into flames and firefighters found one person had died, Norfolk fire and rescue service said.
“As far as we are aware, it was two people on board and we believe it was a two-seater plane.” It is unclear whether anyone anyone else was hurt in the incident. The fire and rescue service referred further enquiries to Norfolk police, who declined to provide any more details on Sunday.

Hobby Master releases for December 2016.

Hobby Master surprises with a brand new WWII 1/72 tooling!!! This is a surprise given that HM have been pushing WWII fighters in 1/48. The new tooling is a P-40N Warhawk and first release is that flown by Chinese ace Wang Kuang Fu!!! There is also potential for the P-40E and P-40F.

The rest of the 1/72 line up is all jet. First up is RA-5C Vigilante "Eagle Eyes" off the USS Independence, a Luftwaffe Richthofen F-4F and Canadian CF-18A "Nightmare 01" and Bagram AFB A-10C.

There is also a Korean War F-86E flown by Charles "Chick" Cleveland, Singapore F-16D and F-35A. In 1/48 we see a Wheeler Field P-26A Peashooter.

Corgi AA27603 Hurricane Mk.I J.H. ' Ginger ' Lacey , No.501 Sqn.

Shuttle shared some photos of his No. 501 Sqn. Ginger Lacey Hurricane Mk.I.

Here are some photos of my model which is now on release. I have also include some comparison shots with my favourite 'old tool' Hurricane - the Corgi Shuttleworth Sea Hurricane.

You can see the refined panel lines and extra additions including the canopy mirror and extra undercarriage leg. It is, in my opinion, an improvement on the previous tool but still needs a better aerial and the tail sorting out. The Corgi 60th Anniversary packaging is very nice including the 'pin badge'.

Another DH Mosquito T.III TV959 takes to the skies!!!

My friend Stew shared these pics of the latest DH Mosquito to take to the skies!!!

The first flight of T.III TV959 on 26 September after a lengthy rebuild at the hands of Avspecs in Auckland NZ.

She is wearing a temporary 75 (NZ) Squadron 1950's scheme for her test flying before she is sent by container to her new home in the US where she will receive her final colours and markings.

Microsoft's Paul Allen is her proud owner and the two test pilots Dave Phillips & Keith Skilling extensively tested and flew the first Mossie rebuild (KA114) almost four years ago.
