Hobby Master 1/72 Air Power Series HA4313 F-86F Sabre 51-12958, Captain Harold E. Fischer, 39th FIS/1st FW, Korea 1953.
During the Korean War Captain Harold E. Fischer Jr. flew an F-86F with the 39th FIS/51st FIW at Suwon, Korea. Fischer had been piloting an F-84 but quickly adjusted to the newer aircraft and accumulated ten MiG victories making him a double Ace.
On April 7, 1953 just as he scored his eleventh victory Fischer was either shot down or ingested debris from the 11th MiG that brought his aircraft down. He was captured and released two years later. He went on to fly 200 missions in Vietnam.
