The Expo was a great success and we were able enlighten a good few people about diecast models and the benefits to collecting these wonderful models.
Apart from D9D there were a many interesting exhibits. The biggest being the Western Cape Model Boat Sports Club. They displayed working vessels, some with very intricate detail.
There was also a gentleman who hand made wooden vehicles with working suspension, wooden engines and amazing details as evidenced by his Camel Trophy Land Rover.
An interesting exhibitor also doing aircraft showed off many interesting plastic kits builds, many recovered and restored from other collections. Of particular interest was the many SAAF models included in his display.
While there were railway exhibits I didn't manage any decent pictures. What I can say though, it that they were a big hit with the kids.
The Expo also included many arts and crafts, a book seller and various collectors of household items and a very good calligrapher.
All the exhibitors received certificates of participation with the names done by said calligrapher.
