Collectors having a good run.

Two more models have arrived for collectors, both stunning and hard to find. The first is the Robin Olds F-4C Phantom II. This model sold out surprisingl y quickly so took a while to find. Just testimony to how well the Hobby Master Phantoms are being received in the market, the obvious caveat being, in the correct scheme for you!!!

The other model is the very limited Gemini Aces Hans Joachim Marseille Bf109F-4 Trop, Yellow 14. This model was a Special Commission that took the best part of two years to be released. It features the red tail with 50 victories and is in a desert scheme with the requisite sand air filter. This release was limited to 505 models.

On the Collectors Front... Corgi, Luftwaffe.

Well now, I've saved the best for last!!! Luftwaffe!!! What we have are two Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighters, one a day fighter, the other, a nightfighter. Corgi does a great job with the aerial arrays with photo etched parts. 

Then there are two bombers, the recently released Heinkel He-111, this time in torpedo bomber guise carrying two torpedos. The other is the hard to find and extremely popular Battle of Britain Dornier Do-17!!!

Whoops!!! Missed a couple of HM jets!!!

I don't know how I could have missed these stunners from the Collectors Front posts!!! First up we have the stunning new F-4B Sundowners MiG killer, truly gorgeous. The F-4B is yet another evolution of the HM F-4 Phantom II range that includes almost every variant of the Phantom including the RF recon versions. The only significant outstanding variant is the F-4G Wild Weasel defense suppression version.

The other is the very popular RAAF F-111G Aardvark in their 60th Anniversary livery with the PIG and boomerang on the tail. The F-111 is affectionately known as the PIG in the land of Oz. This particular is proving very popular with multiples being sold here, it's a real stunner.

On the Collectors Front... Corgi, RAF.

For the collector, from Corgi, we have the recently released Defiant nightfighter that is quickly becoming very sought after and the very hard to find Sullom Voe Catalina flying boat with the rescue diorama. This particular Catalina is one of the best in the range and there really hasn't been a bad one.

The 1/72 MiG-15, a lovely little jet in some sought after schemes, this one in the Chinese Volunteer Air Force livery. 

On the Collectors Front... Hobby Master.

On the collectors front we got in a couple of Beaufighters from Hobby Master, one an RAF nightfighter, the other a RAAF strike fighter.

I would suggest that Bambi is the best of the current crop of nightfighters.

The Royal Australian Air Force Green Ghost is another sought after Beaufighter.

The Stearman is here!!!

Here are pictures of the new Boeing Stearman in 1/48 scale. This is a range sure to be popular with bi-plane lovers.

F-105B Thunderchief.

The next F-105B Thunderchief, aka Thud, is in a natural metal finish which is a pleasant change from the SEA camouflage schemes. This aircraft was the first Thud to enter service with an operational unit.

The HM F-5E Tiger II.

The new F-5E Tiger II is proving to be very popular and this Iranian version is no exception with the very attractive desert camouflage scheme. This model will work well with the HM Iranian F-4E and CW F-14.
